Diver Telephony

SubVox Diver: Push-to-Talk Telephony

No more guessing
Just speak underwater

SubVox Diver is a wireless diver-worn telephone that brings real voice communication up to 1000 m — with a built-in locating pinger for position, too.

  • Diver-to-surface voice contact — the diver and surface station exchange push-to-talk voice messages up to 1000 m apart
  • Diver-to-diver voice contact — divers on the same channel talk to each other directly, no surface relay required
  • Position logged with every transmission — the system records the diver's position every time they release PTT
  • Automatic activation on water immersion — no manual switch required
  • Up to 20 hours in reception mode — full-shift coverage without recharging
  • Fully molded maintenance-free polyurethane housing — no moving parts, no seals to replace
  • Compatible with most analog diver communication systems — OTS, Ocean Reef and similar equipment
  • Built-in voice activity detector and automatic squelch — cuts background noise and dead air automatically
  • Works with most headsets on the market — no need to switch out the diver's mask setup

SubVox Diver solves a problem every dive team knows: once someone's underwater, staying in touch usually means hand signals, a tug on the line or nothing at all. It replaces all three with real push-to-talk voice — diver to surface, diver to diver — in one unit worn on the tank, switched on the moment it hits the water. Up to 20 hours in reception mode covers a full working shift. And releasing the talk button does more than end the message: with an EchoTrace buoy array on the surface, that same release sends a locating signal, so the surface knows not just what was said, but where the diver was when they said it. One button. Voice through. Position marked.
